Optimizing Fleet Management in Electrical Construction

This study provides benchmarks and practical strategies to help electrical contractors understand how their fleet practices compare to their peers and how practices can be improved. Data were collected from contractors in 22 states and grouped into three revenue categories: small (belowย  $100 million), medium ($101-$249 million), and large (above $250 million). This segmentation makes it possible to see how size affects ownership strategy, technology use, and total fleet cost as a percentage of revenue.

The focus of this report expands on these patterns, provides detailed benchmarks by contractor size, and documents case-based practices that firms can adapt to improve safety, cost efficiency, and the effective use of technology in fleet management.
