Understanding the current workforce development challenges and opportunities, ELECTRI International created Industry Connect—a new initiative that gives contractors and students the opportunity to gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge technology.
ELECTRI is ready to partner with NECA chapters to host the event for local contractors, students, educators, and other community members who may want to learn more about the EC industry. This initiative provides an incredible opportunity to explore technology, build partnerships with local schools, and meet students who are – or can become – interested in the industry.
We know NECA chapters and contractors are unique, so we’ve made the Industry Connect format customizable to fit the needs of each local area. Past events have included intimate sessions with small groups of 2-3 students per group. Other events have included larger sessions with 10-12 students per group. We have also hosted in a variety of venues, including partnering with a local JATC, hosting in a conference center, as well as bringing Industry Connect to a large-scale career expo. All group sizes and venues can be adjusted to make Industry Connect a success!
With support from industry partners, our featured hands-on tech has included:
- Trimble Robotic Total Stations (RTS)
- Trimble X7 Point Cloud Scanner
- Trimble XR10 Hololens
- OpenSpace 360 Camera
- Drones in the Construction Industry
Technology is always evolving. We encourage NECA chapters to explore new and innovative technologies to showcase at the event.
