NECA Student Chapter Advisor Selected for Outstanding Honor

The Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT) has named Daniel R. Tomal, Ph.D. as Outstanding Student Organization Advisor for 2012. IIT selected Tomal out of 120 faculty member candidates noting his distinguished leadership and contribution to a student organization, serving as NECA Student Chapter advisor. 

The award was presented on April 2, 2012, during IIT’s 36th annual Clinton E. Stryker Awards Banquet, honoring those who made outstanding contributions to student life at IIT. The award citation noted that

Dr. Tomal teaches in the Industrial Technology and Management program at the Illinois Institute of Technology, has published 10 books, over 100 articles and studies, testified before the US Congress, is an active consultant to business and industry, and has made guest appearances on many national television shows such as CBS This Morning, NBC News, Tom Snyder, and ABC News.
